Improved Access
Extra GP practice appointments and consultations are available in the evenings and at weekends in York and Pocklington.
THE SERVICE
We’re offering:
More pre-bookable and same-day appointments with GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals, on weekday evenings and at weekends.
More telephone appointments.
Virtual online consultations via mobile technology or computer.
This is not a walk-in or emergency service and you will need an appointment to be seen.
HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
Contact your usual GP practice to make an appointment. These appointments are not available to book via the online services currently.
We will book you into the most appropriate and convenient one for you.
You may be asked about your needs. If you have complex needs, it may be better for you to be seen in your own Practice.
Please note, that the service is for routine appointments and not urgent care.
If you are unwell and require urgent care, please contact NHS 111 or, for medical emergencies, call 999.
