Klinik
We have listened to patient and staff feedback, to make sure we offer fair and inclusive access to our appointments based on clinical priority.
We are launching our new system using a “total triage” portal called Klinik. You can submit appointment requests online 6 am-6 pm Monday to Friday but we will only process them during our working hours 8 am -6 pm Monday to Friday not including Bank Holidays. You can also still call us on the phone or attend our surgeries between 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday to access our care, not including bank holidays. Please be aware you could be asked to come down to any of our surgeries at short notice, please make sure you mark what times are unsuitable for you and be aware to factor in travel time.
Triage is the assignment of degrees of the urgency of illnesses to decide the order of treatment of a large number of patients. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, we only triaged some urgent/same-day requests. If your situation was deemed non-urgent/routine, you were given the next available appointment or advised to call back another day. We will deal with all urgent submissions on the day if submitted before 4 pm. Non-urgent requests will be dealt with within 10 working days and we ask you to wait for a response and not submit further requests unless your issue worsens.

Practice Nurses
Our practice nurses also hold regular surgeries with 15-minute appointments. Please note that not all nurses can perform all tasks.
Cancellations & DNAs (Did Not Attend)
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please let us know in good time in order that we can give the slot to someone else. If you missed your appointment without letting us know, a DNA will go onto your record. If this happens a considerable amount of time you will be removed from a patient list and asked to register with another surgery. Missing appointments waste a considerable amount of time for all staff and means that patients end up waiting longer than necessary. It also means that your appointment could have been given to another patient. We are a busy practice and appointments fill up quickly, so please show some consideration and inform us if you cannot make your appointment so we can give your slot to someone else.
