Advanced Nurse Practioner

Our Advance Nurse Practioner is an urgent care nurse. They will have same-day appointments for acute, urgent problems. They can prescribe within their remit for many conditions.

Nurse Prescribers

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning and healthy living advice. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears, travel vaccinations and baby vaccinations. These nurses can prescribe within the remit ie chest infection, wound infection, urinary tract infection. They also carry out minor illness appointments.

Senior Practice Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning and healthy living advice. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears, travel vaccinations and baby vaccinations. These include our nurse managers. 

Practice Nurses 

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning and healthy living advice. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears, travel vaccinations and baby vaccinations.  

Treatment Room Nurse & Assistant Practitioners

Treatment room nurses and Assistant practitioners support practice nurses and doctors with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. They carry out wound care and chronic disease management. They also do seasonal vaccinations including flu, pneumonia and shingles vaccinations.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
